This workshop is conducted in a state-of-the-art computer lab at the FAU Boca Raton campus.  Participants will learn, through specific problems and a case study, how to develop practical project plans for single-projects using Microsoft Project 2007^©.  All necessary materials will be provided.  Breakfast and lunch are included.

Who Should Attend

This course is intended for those who have just begun, or intend to begin using, MS Project^© for planning single projects. 

Prerequisites

Familiarity with the basics of Project Management (using PMI^® standards and methodologies) and Microsoft Office^© are required.

• Navigate the MS Project 2007^© application
• Set up a new project plan by setting up the project context
• Set up the project specific details related to tasks, durations and dependencies
• Define and assign resources in the project plan
• Develop a valid plan by resolving schedule and resource conflicts
• Establishing and changing a baseline
• Navigate the different views within the application to access available information within MS  Project 2007^©
